PICL Racing prep at the 2026 PXV Tree Tangle
GVMTB rolled into Phoenixville on Sunday, August 2nd, for the annual Phoenixville Tree Tangle—a race that absolutely lived up to its name. Hosted at Yeager’s Tree Farm, the 5.1‑mile course delivered a tough blend of steep elevation, rough grass textures, and long grinding climbs that demanded every ounce of determination from our riders. It was the kind of terrain where you don’t stop pedaling, even when your legs beg for a break.
But the course wasn’t just about grit. Two standout sections brought pure joy to the day, packed with berms, jumps, humps, log overs, bridges, and rock gardens that let riders open up, flow, and have fun. These features added personality to the race and gave everyone a chance to show off their skills while enjoying the creativity of the trail design.
In the end, every GVMTB rider crossed the finish line—an achievement we celebrate just as much as the decision to show up and take on something hard. Racing isn’t easy, and this course certainly wasn’t, but our athletes proved once again that growth happens when you choose challenge over comfort. We’re proud of every rider who took on the Tree Tangle and made the day unforgettable.
