PICL Adventure Opener at “the Wiss”
GVMTB rolled into the PICL Adventure Opener on Saturday with serious energy, and our riders absolutely crushed the day. Four of our groups took on the legendary terrain of Wissahickon Valley Park — a place where every corner throws something new at you. Steep climbs, twisty roots, chunky rock tech… it was all there, and our riders attacked it with grit, smiles, and that classic GVMTB “keep pedaling” attitude.
The trail wasn’t just a challenge — it was an adventure. Everyone was in photo scavenger hunt mode, which basically turned the ride into a game while we scrambled to snap the photos needed for the PICL competition. It was pure chaos in the best possible way.
But the real story? Persistence. Even with all the stops, games, and techy terrain, our riders pushed through and stacked up a legit double‑digit ride with some seriously impressive climbing numbers. They showed up strong, rode even stronger, and proved once again that GVMTB knows how to mix challenge, fun, and teamwork into one unforgettable day on the dirt.
Wissahickon threw everything at us — and GVMTB sent it right back.
